Shipping Documentation Improvement Notification

Topics: Innovation News

GURNEE, IL –  September 22, 2017 – In an effort to improve and standardize package labeling and documentation across all Nosco manufacturing sites, we are pleased to announce several changes to our shipping documentation procedures.

These changes are in direct response to customer feedback associated with label interpretation and missing documentation identified during the receiving and IQA processes.

The following label and documentation changes will go into effect at all Nosco facilities beginning October 9, 2017:
  1. All shipping documents (packing lists, bills of lading, etc.) will be enclosed in a tamperproof "packing list enclosed" envelope, affixed to the top of the last case in the order or palletized load.

  2. All quality documents (COCs and other customer-specified ) will be enclosed in a tamperproof "certification enclosed" envelope, affixed to the top of the last case in the order or palletized load. Please note: quality documents will no longer be placed inside of cases. Placing them on the outer carton will provide greater visibility and assurance that they accompanied the order.

If you are interested in an electronic COC, in addition to a hardcopy, please contact your packaging advisor or account manager. Electronic COCs are automatically sent to the email address(es) of your choice to assure your IQA team receives this important document ahead of order arrival.
  3. Cases containing press sheets, QA tailgate, ANSI and/or unique samples will have a "tailgate samples" label affixed to the side of the last case in the order or palletized load.

  4. Orders containing a partial case will have a "partial case" label affixed to the side of the last case in the order or palletized load.

Shipping Labels.pngAll cases will continue to have a standard white Nosco case label (4" x 6") affixed to the upper left hand corner of the widest side panel (or visible palletized panel, when necessary). Additionally, all customer-specified labeling (this side up, storage temperature, etc.) will be affixed to all cases in the upper right hand corner of the widest side panel (or visible palletized panel, when necessary).

If a voided label sample has been requested, it will be affixed to all cases in the bottom right hand corner of the widest side panel (or visible palletized panel, when necessary).
