GURNEE, IL ­– November 1, 2017 – Nosco, Inc., a subsidiary of Holden Industries, Inc., announced today that it has acquired assets of Knight Packaging Group, Inc., a Chicago-based offset folding carton printer with more than 50 years of experience in the industry. With this investment, Nosco will be more broadly equipped to serve the needs of its growing customer base by adding:   

  • New products and capabilities
  • Significantly greater capacity to produce folding cartons
  • An additional carton facility for redundancy in operations, completing a goal to have facility redundancy for all significant product offerings

Nosco Announces Acquisition of Gooding Company, Inc.

GURNEE, IL ­–  October 23, 2017 – Nosco, Inc., a subsidiary of Holden Industries, Inc., announced today that it has acquired Gooding Company, Inc., a New York-based insert and outsert manufacturer with over 141 years of printing experience. Through the acquisition of Gooding, Nosco will add an additional manufacturing facility on the east coast that will help reduce lead times, lower packaging costs and provide an expanded portfolio of folded literature.

Nosco Becomes First Fully-Certified GMI Print Facility in U.S. for Digital & Conventional Cartons

GURNEE, IL ­–  April 4, 2017 – Nosco is proud to announce that it is now the first fully-certified GMI (Graphic Measures International) print facility in the United States for conventional offset litho and digital carton printing. This announcement comes after Nosco’s digital carton press earned a full certification from GMI in March of 2017, which adds to Nosco’s current full conventional certification from July of 2016.

They say you can’t judge a book by its cover—and for the most part, they’re right. But a book’s cover can say a lot about what’s on the pages within, and the same is true—or at least has the potential to be—of the packaging around a supplement or functional food.

Sure, the text on any bottle or box will tell you the obvious details about contents, ingredients, net weight, expiration date, lot number, and so-on. But there’s a subtext going on here, as well, wherein subtleties and nuances of the package—from the shape of the label to the color of the cap—convey a story not just about the product inside but the health-and-wellness brand behind it.
