Meet Nosco's New Director of Solutions Engineering: Chris Verzal

October 23, 2018
We are excited to announce the promotion of Chris Verzal from structural design
manager to director of solutions engineering. This promotion comes in preparation for
the retirement of long-time director, Greg Davis.

Throughout his 20-year career, Chris has gained experience in product development, industrial design and structural design. His passion for process improvement and lean solutions led to the development of several new products and capabilities, including Nosco’s digital sample cutting platform, combination packaging, and line extensions for Lit-a-Sure. These have helped to push Nosco forward, streamlining customer lead times and lowering the total cost of ownership.

“Chris has earned this promotion through performance consistency, a dedication to process improvement, outstanding leadership and mentoring of others and teamwork excellence,” said Emeritus Solutions Engineering Director Greg Davis. “He has the ability to meet the engineering and design needs of our growing customer base with passion, creativity and craftsmanship.”

Chris holds a Bachelor of Fine Art’s degree in industrial design from the University of Wisconsin – Stout, and has had several recent noteworthy accomplishments leading up to his promotion:

  • Programmed and implemented over 100 parametric design templates. The use of these templates reduces design time from days to hours
  • Supported the development and implementation of CPQ and the CAD request form
  • Served as a key member of the 3D printing and vacuum thermo-forming team

Also playing a key role in these efforts is Nosco's solutions engineering team – made up of product development managers, packaging engineers, several CAD designers and  technicians, and emeritus director, Greg Davis.

Greg will continue to act as an advisor during the remainder of 2018. He will also work on projects related to Nosco’s digital, StretchPak and standard packaging support efforts.
