Brands are switching from spot to process to improve efficiency and color standards. The scope of digital presses to print longer runs at speed and with quality comparable to offset is expanding with each new generation of technology.

Standards for Compliance

Nosco employs G7®/Fogra standards for compliance. With these standards in place, brands receive the very best color management available - your packaging will match the G7® proof, 4CP or 7CP guides to <4ΔE within and from run to run. G7® is part of IDEAlliance’s industry-leading set of specifications for achieving gray balance and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes. Fogra is a similar standard for Europe. This standard is used in digital, conventional offset and flexographic printing processes.

Extended Gamut Printing

Extended gamut printing means that the packaging is not printed in CMYK and the necessary spot inks but that the printing presses are standardized on any set of 5, 6 or 7 inks. Typically the press will be standardized on CMYK + 2 or 3 extra inks (e.g. orange/green/blue). By adding extra colors to the traditional CMYK range, printers can achieve more and better color. Enhance your colors with extended gamut Indichrome HP ElectroInks.

Embrace the advantages of printing in process

  • Allows for consistency across all print methods & SKUs.
  • Lowers cost & cycle time of prep process.
  • Reduce set-up time; only plate changes, no ink wash.
  • Eliminate spot colors without compromising your brand identity.
  • Greater depth of colors = richer designs.
  • Color accurate G7® proofs that match final printed product.
